I hope everyone had a wonderful week! Another reminder to make sure your student(s) has appropriate outdoor gear to enjoy playing on our playground. Also, Monday there is no school for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and teacher professional development.

Welcome to the new year! It was fun seeing the excited students return to us Monday, in which I’m sure they were equally excited for our first two snow days this week. Please remember to help your child dress for outside recess daily, and it's always smart to label gear in case (or when!) it gets lost!
With the new year, it can be a fresh start in many of our lives, which can be exciting. We love seeing continual growth out of so many students as the year progresses. We also know many things will continue to be a challenge in the school setting, including COVID and illnesses. As a reminder, masks are now optional, so it is up to you and your child to follow through with your expectations of your child wearing, or not wearing, a mask.

I hope everyone is able to have a healthy and happy holiday season! The end of one year and the start of a new year can bring renewed goals and hope for a better future. As you will see in the latest message from Mr. Hopkins, there are some important changes to our COVID mitigations, including the current change of expectation in allowing masks to be optional.
