This month’s True Success focus: GRATITUDE

Dear Parents,

This time of year provides us with moments to reflect upon all that we have to be grateful for. This past week, our country had the opportunity to celebrate and be grateful for those who have served in the armed forces. Any day is a good day to thank a veteran for his or her service, however, November 11 was set aside to honor those who have sacrificed to protect our freedoms. I would like to say Happy Veteran’s Day to all those service men and women both past and present and Thank You for all you have done.

In addition, with Thanksgiving approaching, I would also like to express my gratitude for the amazing group of educators I get to work with and lead each day. Our team of support and certified staff work hard to meet the needs of each and every student and I am proud of the effort they put forth each and every day to do what is best for students. I believe Mr. Rogers said it best when he said, “Anyone who does anything to help a child in his life is a hero to me.”

Lastly, I am grateful as a parent for my three wonderful children. Often, as a parent, I can tend to focus on all that they need to improve on or what they may be doing wrong. In those moments of frustration, it is easy to lose sight of all things that I can celebrate about them. I would like to encourage other parents to join me this month to take time to talk with your children about what everyone may be grateful for at home, work or school.

Please continue to stay informed by reading our building newsletter and all communication you receive from your child’s teacher. If you have questions or a specific need, please be sure to connect with your child’s teacher or our office for support.

Your partner in education,
Jason Snyder

Dear Parents,

I want to thank our community for all of the efforts made in making our fall fundraiser a success! As a result of your support, we raised over $6,000 for our school. We enjoyed celebrating with students today when our top sellers threw pie in my face. In the near future we will have our pizza and ice cream celebration parties.

Please continue to stay informed by reading our building newsletter and all communication you receive from your child’s teacher. If you have questions or a specific need, please be sure to connect with your child’s teacher or our office for support. At Alpine, we work hard to connect with our parents as they have questions. We would rather provide clarity when possible than have parents wonder about something that has been heard or seen or in the community or online. It is important to us to be transparent and responsive to our community’s questions or concerns.

It is hard to believe that Halloween is almost upon us and that Thanksgiving break is less than a month away. I wish all our families a fun and safe Halloween this weekend!

Jason Snyder

Note from the Principal
Dear Parents, I want to express my continued gratitude for your patience, flexibility, and support during these times. I know frustrations are real with limitations due to COVID and our staffing shortages in our transportation department. With that being said, we do have much to celebrate! Students have completed our district reading and math assessments, allowing teachers to use this data to individualize instruction. In addition, it has been fun to see various grade levels go on study trips, begin planning for the return of our Kids Hope mentors and gear up for fall conferences. I am excited for our teachers to have an opportunity in the next two weeks to discuss your child’s progress with you. With fall weather upon us and changing conditions outside, please make sure that your child dresses appropriately for the weather. In addition, please be sure to check our lost and found for any items that you may be missing. All found items can be located near the main office entrance. Please continue to stay informed by reading our building newsletter and all communication you receive from your child’s teacher. If you have questions or a specific need, please be sure to connect with your child’s teacher or our office for support.

Our Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation.
